Overview

Nestled atop the cliffs of Pecatu in Bali, Nunggalan Corner offers a truly unique dining experience that effortlessly blends local flavors with breathtaking natural beauty. This modest, family-run restaurant sits at Jl. Batu Nunggalan No.9, commanding a panoramic view of the wild Nunggalan Beach and its crashing waves below. It’s a hidden gem favored by travelers and locals seeking authentic Indonesian cuisine paired with spectacular scenery.

The menu shines brightest with its Mie Goreng — a classic Indonesian fried noodle dish that speaks to the heart of Bali’s rich culinary traditions. Complemented perfectly by freshly squeezed Mango Juice, the flavors are vibrant yet comforting. Popular staples like the Chicken Curry evoke the rich heritage of Sumatran cuisine, distinguished by aromatic spices and a generous coconut milk base. Meanwhile, rice lovers can indulge in expertly crafted Nasi Goreng, which pairs beautifully with cold Bintang beer or a refreshing fresh coconut, amplifying the tropical atmosphere.

What sets Nunggalan Corner apart is the immersive setting. The rustic charm of this cliffside warung invites diners to unwind amid nature’s embrace, offering an unfiltered view of golden sands and turquoise waves far below. Visitors often spot colorful butterflies enhancing the serene ambiance. For those craving more, the owner, Kadek Budi, extends a warm invitation to stay in cozy cabins perched nearby, perfect for a jungle escape with the ocean’s steady rhythm as a lullaby.

Targeted mainly at adventurous food lovers, sunset seekers, and travelers yearning for an off-the-beaten-path experience, this spot thrives on authenticity and heartfelt hospitality. The friendly, down-to-earth staff add to the overall charm, making each visit feel intimate and genuinely welcoming.

Access to the beach—Nunggalan’s rugged coastline—is a small adventure itself, requiring a 15-minute trek down sturdy stairs, rewarding explorers with pristine sands and seclusion from Bali’s usual crowds. Whether you're here for the views, the food, or a quiet moment with nature, Nunggalan Corner delivers an unforgettable taste of Bali’s coastal allure.

We tried to find a nice spot with a view in Uluwatu to grab drinks. This little hard to find spot was a very makeshift and it looked the owners lived there. Food was good and beers cold. The view was really worth it

I would say this is one of the best spots in Bali — if you are visiting the island and are coming to Uluwatu, this place beats most of the more known destinations. Nunggalan Corner has one of the most incredible views you will ever see, the beach far down below is mesmerising with its big rolling waves crashing against the reef and the incredible golden sand. If you stay here for half an hour or so you will likely see several species of butterfly. The Chicken (or vegetable) Curry is some of the best Indonesian food I've had in Bali (I think it's actually a dish from Sumatra) and the owner is a super nice guy! You can also stay at one of his cabins with a similar view if you are looking for a jungle-getaway with an amazing view and the sound of the crashing waves. Nunggalan/Nyang Nyang beach is a beautiful wild beach with very few people.

Great place to eat with incredible views! The Nasi Goreng is delicious, as well as chicken curry. You can watch the waves while drinking a Bintang or fresh coconut in a locally-owned cliffside warung.

Best sunset spot in Nunggalang! The staff are friendly and the view is breathtaking! Down there there's Nunggalang beach, you have to use the stairs to reach that place, 15mins trekking but it's worth it.

The owner Kadek Budi was very nice. I enjoyed a bali coffee and Durian ice cream with a great view of Ngungallan Beach. Spectacular place to see the ocean.

The views are stunning and the owner is lovely. However, not the best food. It’s worth going there for a tea or coffee and enjoy the views.
